![]() Skull accidentally sets off his audio recorder, landing both him and Bulk (somehow) in detention with Zack and Billy after class. Appleby scolds them for talking during the test. He finally recognizes Kimberly’s voice as she asks if he’s okay, but Ms. Appleby’s test, Zack continues tripping balls, seeing his friends as Z-Putties wishing him luck and passing out the test for their teacher. Bulk assumes they overfed it and they get the hell out of dodge. ![]() The iguana vanishes from the cage and reappears in front of them, massive and shrieking its thanks for the snack. Appleby really should have known what to expect when she asked them to feed it). At that precise moment, the bullies dump literally all of the iguana food into the cage, figuring a little extra never hurt anyone (Ms. Zedd determines the iguana (is he watching Bulk and Skull, too?) will be the perfect final piece to his plan. Once she’s gone, Bulk checks that Skull got her voice on tape. Bulk agrees eagerly Skull seems surprised, but goes along with it. Appleby summons them into her classroom, explaining that she needs to make copies for an upcoming test and asking them to feed the class iguana in the meantime. They give each other quick, furtive glances, but almost immediately rule themselves out. Their latest plan for discovering the Rangers’ true identities is to record everyone they see, as everyone is a suspect. We cut to Bulk and Skull, who’ve been fairly low-key so far this season. Kimberly, Jason, and Tommy are stunned, and Caplan assigns his assaulters detention, dragging them away despite their protests. He should really look into getting a better hair piece. They rush forward and swipe through their friends, knocking Caplan’s toupee off in the process. Kimberly tells them to stop clowning around, but Billy and Zack are only confused as to why they’re not attacking.Ĭaplan approaches from behind, and when Kimberly steps forward to greet him, Billy and Zack panic, thinking the Z-Putties are going after him. Laughing, Jason asks what Putties they’re talking about, while Tommy seems genuinely concerned. ![]() The others are confused, whirling around and looking for the so-called Putties, while Zedd cackles maniacally on the moon. When Jason and Kimberly approach, asking if they’re ready for their “big physics demonstration,” they whip off the glasses (good to see they thought of that) and, when the figures in front of them remain Z-Putties, they scream “Putties!” and jump into fighting stances. The boys are understandably dumbfounded, each checking with the other to ensure they’re seeing the same thing. A nearby Tommy, telling them he almost overslept (I guess that forgetfulness plot line was legit, after all), appears as a Z-Putty. “No! Mere humans could take them off, but the Power Rangers are no mere humans! My spell will inter-react with the powers Zordon has given them, and their vision will be changed permanently!” Yes, he said “inter-react,” not “interact.”īilly and Zack put on their glasses early to show their friends “how cool science can be” and are at once affected by Zedd’s magic. Goldar points out that they could just take the glasses off, leading Zedd to bark: “Instead of protecting their vision, I will cast a spell to change their vision! They will see their fellow Rangers as Putties and will be kept busy fighting each other and out of my way!” Watching this, Lord Zedd scoffs at the idea of protective eyewear, plotting: Billy agrees that they’ll do a good job of protecting their eyes, while Zack adds that they look cool, too. ![]() Zack strides up to Billy’s locker wearing a pair of ridiculous sunglasses, which he says should work perfectly for science class. ![]()
